PVM Student Projects

The Center for Companion Animal Studies coordinates the PVM Student Grant program. The monies used to fund the grants in 2009 were given by a number of corporate sponsors:

Gold sponsors

Fort Dodge Animal Health
HESKA Corporation
Hill's Pet Nutrition and SCAVMA
Intervet/Schering Plough Animal Health
Merial Limited
Nestle Purina Pet Care
P&G Pet Care (Iams/Eukanuba)
Pfizer Animal Health
Veterinary Centers of America

Silver sponsor

Bayer Animal Health

Bronze sponsors

Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica Ltd.
Novartis Animal Health

The donations are unrestricted and so any research project was
potentially fundable. Each successful proposal includes a PVM student as a coinvestigator; it is expected that this person will be the primary author or coauthor on any resultant publication. It is our hope that the completion of these projects will stimulate student interest in clinical projects and hopefully will improve the students' chances of matching in internships and residencies in the future. In 2009, we received 29 excellent proposals and were able to support 18. Please click the icons below to view the funded proposals in 2008 and 2009. Please offer your thanks to the companies that so generously support this program!
