Room 118/120 Animal Cancer Center
CSU James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital
Ideal for all horse owners and breeding managers, this interactive seminar will provide up-to-date information on prediction of foaling, the foaling process, and foal care. The session will also detail critical guidelines on how to recognize problems during foaling, when to call for professional assistance, and how to perform emergency “on-farm” resuscitation in a neonatal foal.
A key component of the seminar will include information on how to establish a dialog with your regular veterinarian regarding foaling and how to be prepared for a foaling emergency. A demonstration of routine foaling supplies, diagnostic tests, and an emergency foaling kit will follow the lecture.
Free and open to the public. Space is limited. R.S.V.P. to Kathie.Sexton@Colostate.edu or call (970) 297-1269 by Friday, April 3 to attend.
