Giving to the Hospital

Every day, the Veterinary Teaching Hospital offers hope, care, and cures to animals and their families.

What many people may not know is that our hospital is self-sustaining. Less than 10% of the operating costs of the hospital are funded through state support. The remaining expenses are earned through hospital fees for service and the generosity of private gifts.

Your support means that we are able to train the doctors of tomorrow, provide outstanding care and treatment for our patients, and reach for the
cures that will benefit both animals and humans.

 Keri, Buster, and Eddie

“Equipment empowers doctors. Putting the best tools in the hands of doctors gives animals the best chance to heal. I have driven to Fort Collins 50-60 times over a three-year period for care related to Eddie and Buster, my dog and my rabbit. Eddie had an inner ear infection that had spread into his brain.
“The medical team put him in an MRI and you could see the problem. This was incredible to me. Eddie was in the Intensive Care Unit for six days, and the wonderful equipment there made it possible to monitor him and give him the best treatment.
“I will be forever thankful for the technology and incredible doctors at Colorado State. They bring hope, provide exceptional care, and find cures. I support Colorado State, for I believe that the knowledge we gain from animals relates to humans as well. In the end, we all benefit.”
